U.S. Conducting Secret Missions Inside Iran?

FROM REUTERS:
The United States has been conducting secret reconnaissance missions inside Iran to help identify potential nuclear, chemical and missile targets, The New Yorker magazine reported Sunday.

FROM OTB:
Interesting. The fact that Bartlett didn't deny the report outright gives it some credence. Given that Iran has been the biggest state supporter of terrorism for 25 years and is on the verge of gaining nuclear weapons, it certainly wouldn't surprise me if some sort of covert reconnaisance operations were ongoing. Indeed, I'd be surprised if they weren't.

I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED EITHER. IN FACT, WE CAN ACTUALLY BE PRETTY CERTAIN AT THIS POINT THAT SOME SORT OF ACTION IS GOING ON INSIDE IRAN. FROM MY OPINION, THIS IS MOST LIKELY TAKING THE FORM OF AERIAL RECONNAISSANCE AND LIMITED TEST STRIKES FROM UAVs. CHECK OUT THE TYPE OF PRESS THAT HAS BEEN COMING OUT OF ABOUT THIS CONFLICT WITH IRAN THAT IS ALREADY HAPPENING:

FIRST WE HAD WHAT THE U.S. WAS GOING TO DO:
US War Games Simulate Attack On Iran Nuclear Sites

THEN WHAT IRAN WOULD DO IF WE DID THAT:
HOW IRAN WILL FIGHT BACK - Asia Times

THEN WE HAD THE U.S. IN COVERT ACTION:
DEBKA Exclusive: US AGENTS FOIL IRAN'S ENRICHMENT PLANS

THEN ALL THESE STORIES ABOUT UFOs OVER IRAN:
WorldNetDaily: Iran, Russia to study UFOs
UFOs OVER IRAN: GOV'T ISSUES SHOOT-DOWN ORDER
MYSTERY DRONE DOWN NEAR IRAN NUKE SITE
U.S. JETS OVER IRAN...

SO IT APPEARS THAT WE ARE INVOLVED IN LOW-LEVEL SABOTAGE ON THE GROUND AND SOPHITICATED RECONNAISSANCE / LIMITED STRIKES IN THE SKIES ABOVE THEIR NUKE FACILITIES. MY QUESTIONS ARE: WHAT IS THE END-GAME? ARE WE PREPPING FOR ATTACKS? UNDER WHAT CIRCUMSTANCES COULD WE ATTACK AND EXPECT NO RESPONSE FROM THEM? WHY ALL THE STORIES ABOUT UFOs AT THIS TIME AS WELL? ARE WE USING NEW UAVs THAT LOOK "HIGHLY ADVANCED"? COULD WE POSSIBLY USE THE UFO SIGHTINGS AS A COVER STORY FOR A COVERT ATTACK?
