IDEOLOGICAL WAR: BUSH'S LIBERTY vs. AL-QAEDA'S TYRANNY

BUSH'S NEW PUSH FOR FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY IN THE MIDDLE EAST HAS GOT AL-QAEDA REELING... HIS INAUGURATION SPEECH SO CLEARLY LAID OUT A VISION FOR A FREE WORLD THAT HE HAS FORCED AL-QAEDA TO REACT TO HIM. THEY RECOGNIZE THE POWER OF THIS MESSAGE AND NOW HAVE BEEN FORCED TO OFFER A "COUNTER-PUNCH". NOTICE HOW ZAWAHIRI ACTUALLY CO-OPTS SOME OF BUSH'S TERMINOLOGY LIKE: FREEDOM, REFORM, LIBERATING, ETC. BUSH HAS STRUCK A NERVE HERE AND NOW THE WORLD CAN CLEARLY SEE THE STRUGGLE WE ARE IN AND THE STAKES COULDN'T BE HIGHER.... DO YOU WANT A WORLD OF U.S. LED FREEDOM, LIBERTY, AND PEACE, OR DO YOU WANT A WORLD OF WORLDWIDE ISLAMIC LAW, MANDATORY ISLAM, AND WOMEN AS 2ND CLASS CITIZENS.... WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?

An audiotape purportedly of Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri hit out at the US concept of freedom, saying it was a cloak for spreading corruption and injustice in the Islamic world.

Liberty as construed by the Americans was based on "usurious banks, giant companies, misleading media outlets and the destruction of others for material gain," charged the voice in the recording aired by Arabic news channel Al-Jazeera.
