GMAIL: Infinite Storage?

As most web-savvy folks are aware, GMAIL increased the capacity of its mailbox to 2GB on April 1st. I guess the joke is really on the other freemail providers (HOTMAIL, YAHOO) though. Instead of stopping there, Google has hinted that it will perpetually increase storage capacity on its email system... for the foreseeable future! In fact, they have a "ticker" at their login page which shows how much storage is available - and it keeps going up! Currently, the ticker is at 2068MB.

By doing some quick calculations based on the current rate of increasing capacity, I calculated that GMAIL will add about 25MB/week of storage capacity. This means, that one year from now, capacity of GMAIL will be over 3GB!
